We are the managing contractor for the Asia Regional Trafficking in Persons Project (ARTIP). ARTIP is a five year Project, funded by the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID), which follows on from the three year Asia Regional Cooperation to Prevent People Trafficking Project. The goal of ARTIP is to contribute to the prevention of people trafficking by facilitating a more effective and coordinated criminal justice response to trafficking. ARTIP builds on the achievements of the preceding Project, working in Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Thailand to strengthen national and regional responses. Focusing on specialist and general law enforcement, and judicial and prosecutorial responses to trafficking, and policy, legal and research development, ARTIP will expand to include other countries in the region over the next five years.

Cardno Acil are seeking a Regional Judicial ? Prosecutorial Adviser (JPA) for the in country full time position to be based in Cambodia, initially for 12 months. The JPA will provide assistance, advice and training and mentoring to judges and prosecutors on the legal and evidentiary issues in relation to the crime of trafficking.

The following criteria that we require for this position is:

? Post Graduate degree in criminal law and prosecutorial/judicial experience ? Ability to train, advise and mentor judges and prosecutors in investigations ? Experience with trafficking or sexual exploitation cases, or in the field of trans-national organised crime ? Experience working with criminal justice agencies in an advisory role preferably including experience addressing issues related to public sector corruption ? Understanding and appreciation of gender and human rights issues ? Excellent oral and written communication skills ? Competent information technology skills
