Job Description

WYG International has recently been selected to tender for a forthcoming project entitled "Support in the Implementation of Transport Community Agreement".

The overall objective is to foster economic development in Kosovo by integrating the energy and transport networks in the regional transport markets in compliance with the EU acquis. The location will be Pristina. The intended commencement date of the contract is May 2010 and the project will have duration of 24 months from the commencement date.

We are currently seeking a Railways Expert to join us with the following qualifications and experience:

Qualifications and skills Proficient in English;

Excellent communication and analytical skills;

Proficient in drafting reports;

Excellent team working abilities;

Excellent knowledge of EU acquis on transport sector.

• A bachelors degree (where a university degree has been awarded on completion of three years study in a university or equivalent institution) but preferably a Masters degree in engineering, economics, or other relevant discipline, or 15 years of professional experience;

General professional experience

• 8 to 12 years of relevant professional experience;

Specific professional experience

• 5 to 10 years of experience in a railways undertaking management or operation;
• Specific experience in railways regulation gained in at least two, but preferably three countries covered by article 19 of IPA regulation7

The expert will be required for a minimum of 280 working days over the duration of the contract.
