2026 Summer Intern, Developer

We are seeking a Summer intern to join our team. This is a full-time, 10-week internship that will begin in early June and conclude by mid-August. Work may be performed remotely from any U.S. location, or hybrid from our Reston, VA headquarters. At this time, we are unable to offer relocation nor housing assistance. Pay is expected to be $23/hour for undergraduate interns.

As a member of our team, the Summer Intern will:    

  • Participate in the design and implementation of innovative solutions that address complex problems using cutting-edge technologies.
  • Research and evaluate new AI techniques and technologies.
  • Document and present the results and findings of AI projects.
  • Work with development team to gather business requirements and translate them to technical requirements.
  • Partner with a team of experts in AI, machine learning, and natural language processing to develop and implement solutions to meet business needs.
  • Participate in Scrum process to implement solutions in an agile manner.
  • Provide support to senior developers by coding, data gathering, and testing as needed.

  Minimum Qualifications: 

  • At least 30 completed college-level credit hours (preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields).

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • An understanding of general application programming and database concepts including.
  • Familiarity with the SDLC concepts and Agile/Scrum project methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLM) and Retrieval Augmented Generative AI (RAG)
  • Experience/exposure to two or more of the below:
  • .NET - Core, Framework
  • Python - LangChain, Pinecone, OpenAI, Claude, LangGraph, Azure OpenAI, Ollama
  • JavaScript - Angular, React, Vue
  • Database - SQL, mongo, cosmos (or some combination of structured and unstructured)
  • Azure - Web Apps, Containers, Storage, OpenAI, Cognitive Services (or comparable AWS/GCP) Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Passion and curiosity for learning new AI skills and technologies.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$34,564.00 - $58,758.00
