Job Description

The specific objectives of this technical audit of the Rehabilitation of the Negril Waste Water Treatment Plant are twofold:

1) To verify the contractual validity of the works certified by the Supervisor at expiry of the Operational Implementation Period of the Financing Agreement, i.e 31/12/2011.

2) To assess the management of the implementation of the works in accordance with the requirements of the contract and widely acknowledged best practices in the supervision of works contracts.

One senior expert for 25 working days

  • Ø Profile per expert or expertise required:

Quantity surveyor (Category Senior) – 25 working days

  • Qualification in Quantity Surveying (QS) from a recognised academic / professional institution. Membership of recognized professional bodies in Quantity Surveying is an advantage;
  • Minimum ten (10) years of work experience in civil engineering construction;
  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience in QS, contracts and claim management
  • Experience in audit of works contract is mandatory;
  • Experience working on the Contractor’s side is an advantage
  • Experience in developing countries is an advantage
  • Experience in EDF conditions for works contract is considered an asset;
  • Fully proficiency in English, both written and oral;
  • Computer literate.

The Commencement Date of the Consultant’s services is the date of arrival inJamaicaof the Consultant’s expert (foreseen in the first week of November 2012)

The total contract duration is 120 calendar days.
