Position: Finance Officer
Trainee Supervisor: Accounting Manager
Trainee: Accounting & Finance Officer
Internship Duration: At least 3 months
Start Date: Varies by institution

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review financial documents (e.g., cash advances, reimbursements, loan applications) to ensure compliance with financial policies before disbursement.
• Process withholding tax documents, including issuing certificates, reviewing reports, and submitting withholding tax to the Revenue Department.
• Monitor fixed assets systems and develop internal tracking systems.
• Collect invoices from local stores and support the program team in compiling documents according to standards.
• Record transactions in the accounting program (Xero).
• Process bill payments, including phone or mail transactions, in collaboration with the Accounting & Finance Officer.
• Participate in quarterly inventory counts for DEG.
• Support the Foundation’s daily operations and accompany the project team in fieldwork activities.
• Perform other duties as discussed with the intern and required by the institution.

Your Profile

Required Qualifications:

• Interest in non-profit organizations and charitable activities.
• Good command of English is a plus.

Working Days and Hours:

• 5 days per week
• 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
