JOB SUMMARY
ABA ROLI is seeking an Administrative Officer for a new three-year USAID-funded program increasing citizens’ awareness of rights and access to legal aid services, strengthening alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, and supporting the fair and efficient administration of justice. This role will provide general office assistance, including financial and administrative support to operations staff. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a professional office environment, excellent attention to detail, and good communication skills. There is the opportunity to grow into further responsibilities within the office and program over time.
The role is available immediately.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate smooth implementation of program and office activities by providing administrative assistance/support in both technical and non-technical operations
- Provide logistical support, for example, soliciting vendors for procurement actions;
- Provide general administrative services such as asset and facilities management including annual tracking of commodity end-users, listing and periodic inventory of expendable and non-expendable properties;
- Review and process project invoices/billing statements/statements of accounts;
- Maintain tracking of consultants and/or short-term technical assistants’ contracts, contact information and credentials;
- Maintain project personnel files and support recruitment processes;
- Conduct all business in a manner that respects local culture, maintain high ethical standards and avoid conflict of interest at all times;
- Abide by all local laws, ABA ROLI policies and USAID regulations;
- Perform any and all tasks as may be assigned to contribute to the achievement of the project objectives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant degree
- At least one year of relevant professional experience, ideally more.
- Experience in daily administrative tasks, ideally with experience of U.S. grant regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Fluency in Tagalog and English.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- An interest in rule of law development.
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Excellence in written and verbal communication skills
- Experience successfully building and maintaining close productive working relationships with government, civil society, and other key stakeholders.
