Scope of Work
FHI 360 is seeking to hire two consultants to co-implement two, five-week teacher training exchanges in a third-country location. The teacher training exchanges will take place over the course of three months from January to March 2021.
The curriculum for the teacher training exchanges will be designed and delivered to third-year English language students from public universities throughout Afghanistan. The consultants must have a solid understanding of the Afghan educational context and must ensure that the course curriculum and materials are developed in accordance with the needs of the Afghan students and Afghan cultural values. The consultants will travel to a third country for the exchange and will assist during the training, including delivery of program sessions. The consultants will be important in assisting the program team to understand the Afghan context, and they will be essential in supporting follow-on engagement once the participants return to Afghanistan.
*Please note that all consultant rates will be aligned with the Afghan NTA salary scale.
Location of Work
Kabul, Afghanistan and a third-country location yet to be determined
Travel
The majority of this consultancy will take place in the third-country location (still to be determined) from January to March 2021.
