Job Description
Your role as a Data Analyst (apprenticeship)
You will contribute to the provision of dynamic reports, dashboards, and the enhancement of business data, in conjunction with operational teams and the IT department.
You will also provide user support for everyday IT tools by analyzing bugs and change requests before escalating them to the IT department.
Your main responsibilities:
- Gather reporting requirements from business units.
- Model the data and structure the datasets useful for analysis.
- Design, develop and maintain interactive dashboards (Power BI) and Business Objects reports.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of the data used.
- Automate the production of certain recurring reports (Excel, Access, Power BI).
- Supporting users in learning how to use BI tools.
- Write functional documentation (user guides, procedure sheets).
- Participate in projects to develop reporting systems and improve analysis processes.
- Experimenting with artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to support PROPARCO’s digital transformation, in
- collaboration with business and technical teams.
Bug and feature qualification with end users before handing over to the IT department
Who are we looking for?
Technical skills:
- Excellent command of Excel (pivot tables, macros, Power Query).
- Experience or training in Power BI: modeling, DAX, M, publishing to cloud service.
- Good knowledge of SAP Business Objects (BO).
- Knowledge of SQL for querying databases.
- Knowledge of data processing tools such as Access, Power Automate or Power Apps (appreciated).
Human/interpersonal qualities:
- Analytical mind, rigor and attention to detail.
- Good listening skills to understand user needs.
- A taste for teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
- Curiosity and an appetite for tools and technologies.
Formation :
- Student in Bac +3 to Bac +5: university or engineering school in decision-making computing, data, applied statistics or information systems.
- Specialized training in data analysis or BI in terms of education, experience and technical and behavioral skills.

The position is part of the Project and Business Efficiency Division (PEM), an internal consulting and support structure within PROPARCO’s Transformation Support Department (ACT). PEM’s mission is to improve organizational efficiency and business management, in conjunction with the AFD Group IT Department and business teams.
