INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST/WEBMASTER, AFRICA/ASIA/NEAR EAST
ARD, Inc. () requests expressions of interest from highly qualified Information Management Specialist/Webmaster candidates for a challenging, new USAID-funded water activity in Africa, Asia, and the Near East. The anticipated project will introduce new approaches that emphasize integrated water conservation and management, collaborative problem solving of water disputes, more efficient and productive use of water, and development of alternative sources of water. Anticipated start date for the project is November 2006 and project duration is expected to be 3 years.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a unique blend of public relations and computer technical skills.
Responsibilities: The Information Management Specialist/Webmaster?s responsibilities will include: —Assessing the information management needs and opportunities of project client institutions; —Identifying appropriate operational policies, actions and approaches to strengthen the information management systems of client institutions; —Assisting client institutions to develop and carry out information management plans and communication and outreach programs; —Establishing and managing a regional water management web sites, including updates and uploads.
Required Qualifications: —Bachelor?s degree in information management or a related subject matter area; —At least 5 years of progressively responsible work experience in information management and web management, preferably including experience with the U.S. government; —International, and environmental or natural resources management work experience in Asia/Near East; —Proven ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and in highly political contexts.
