Futures Group is implementing the Health Policy Project (HPP), a global, 5-year cooperative agreement funded by USAID. HPP’s overall goal is to strengthen developing country national and sub-national policy, advocacy, and governance for strategic, equitable, and sustainable health programming. A key component of HPP in Afghanistan is building the capacity of the local private health sector organizations to enable them to better partner with government in the delivery of high-quality health services through the private health sector.
Futures Group, through HPP Afghanistan, is providing technical and financial support to Afghan Social Marketing Organization (ASMO), an independent national Afghan-owned and managed social marketing NGO. ASMO was established under HPP Afghanistan’s predecessor program, the COMPRI-A social marketing project, and continues to carry on the social marketing activities that were initiated under COMPRI-A. HPP is working with ASMO to build the capacity of its staff in management, operations.
HPP Afghanistan is seeking the services of a business development and public relations/organizational promotion consultant to support ASMO improve its capacity in these areas.
You will demonstrate:
- At least 10 years of work experience in business development and proposal writing, including providing trainings;
- At least 5 years of experience in public relations or organizational promotion’
- Experience building staff capacity in business development and organizational promotion;
- Strong communication/facilitation skills and ability to work as a team member;
- Willingness to travel to Afghanistan;
- Excellent written and spoken English language.
