Job Overview/Summary:
The Business Process Reengineering Lead (BPRL) will apply process improvement and reengineering methodologies and principles to conduct process modernization projects across the organization. Duties include: activity and data modeling, developing modern business methods, identifying best practices, creating and assessing performance measurements, and striving for continuous improvement. The BPRL is responsible for effective transitioning of existing project teams and the facilitation of project teams in the accomplishment of project activities and objectives.

Responsible for leading continuous improvement across the IRC Operations organization. Develops and manages the processes for measuring the efficiency and effectiveness of both services provided internal and external to the IRC Operations department. Responsible for identifying process improvement opportunities, redesigning processes (e.g., lean improvements), establishing organization support, and launching projects. Involves significant stakeholder engagement and relationship management responsibilities related to identification of opportunities for process and service improvement. Serves as a catalyst for continuous improvement to consistently improve the efficiency and effectiveness of IRC on a regular basis.

Supports the success of a high-performing organization by helping to champion process improvement practices and culture. Helps create and foster an environment in which continuous improvement in business processes and services is welcomed and recognized. Accountable for implementing programs and tools in support of building a high performance culture via the assigned process (e.g. performance measurement, people development, customer relationship management, etc.).

Major Responsibilities:
* Interact with all levels of management and be able to document existing processes, manage and analyze data, and recommend enhanced business processes
* Use knowledge and understanding of process improvement approaches to train and/or facilitate working sessions regarding business processes
* Provide expertise based on previous experience with training and technical assistance, business process analysis, change management, and other performance improvement
* Lead the analyses of IRC operations, business processes, and organizational structures using business process reengineering and improvement (BPR/BPI) methods and tools
* Support implementation activities using change management approaches and interact with staff and senior leadership to accomplish project objectives
* Work in a team environment and provide business process management expertise to staff engagements and project work streams
* Provide guidance and advice to senior leaders and officers on the most effective and efficient use of resources to ensure positive and measurable outcomes
* Maintain inventory of business processes and coordinate updates to the inventory working with various Operations department teams
* Identify opportunities to improve work processes, enhance quality of service and productivity, and communicate opportunities to Operations department leadership
* Develop and monitor scorecard and other tools to measure success of process improvement initiatives
* Support the development and implementation of policies and procedures necessary to support Operations processes
* Support the development of service and operating agreements
* Stay abreast of leading practices for business process documentation and execution
* Champion process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean)
* Support a culture focused on customer service, continuous improvement, and performance measurement
* Foster a process based culture by performing the following organizational processes: communication, customer relationship management, performance management, performance measurement, knowledge management, people development
* Use feedback system to enhance business performance and organizational effectiveness
* Partner with functional teams to share continuous improvement best practices
* Coach the other teams on process improvement practices; understand how to drive behavior change and adoption for new/changed processes
* Communicate Lean and other process improvement methodologies to the organization

Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree

Experience / Background:
* 8-10 years progressive experience in business improvement and performance measurement projects
* Demonstrated track record of reengineering business processes and driving adoption across an organization/department
* Clear understanding of business process streamlining methodologies
* Accredited in Lean, Six Sigma or other process improvement methodology
* Has managed functional processes and policies and/or projects
* Experience of implementing continuous improvement processes
