Job Description

As part of the DAI's project management strategy, current DAI projects use the Technical and Administrative Management Information System (TAMIS) to manage administrative, grant, and technical and performance monitoring aspects of project implementation. These project management systems are complex, well used, and contain contractual, financial and technical data all subject to USAID audit. TAMIS is customized to fit individual needs of each project while maintaining standard structure that reflects DAI's policies. The Business Systems Analyst will support the customization and maintenance of TAMIS for a portfolio of projects. The Analyst will also contribute to requirements analysis for development of DAI's corporate systems as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Define project management system requirements for each project during initial customization phase by working with the project administrative and technical staff to identify their system, process and reporting needs. Configure TAMIS to meet project specific needs;
• Collaborate with project staff to ensure the system meets their needs over the life of the project, identify areas of TAMIS that are not being used consistently, determine the constraints and solutions, and work on changes to the system structure to improve its effectiveness;
• Work with project technical teams to define the M&E data reporting structure and process of data collection to be reflected in the system. Work with DAI's clients to ensure their reporting needs are being met by information provided within TAMIS;
• Work with team members and DAI's support offices to ensure that DAI policies, procedures and best practices are reflected in, and supported by, TAMIS applications in the field;
• Conduct TAMIS orientation/training for COPs and other project staff in the home office and in the field;
• Contribute to TAMIS re-design effort by gathering and formulating user requirements from home office and field users using standard Business Analysis tools;
• Assist with the production and maintenance of professional, user-friendly documentation and training materials; and
• Assist as necessary with the development of competitive proposal sections illustrating DAI's
management information.

Estimated travel requirement - 30%.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree with 5 years of related experience or equivalent experience;
• Understanding of USAID's project implementation principles, both administrative and technical;
• Team player, problem-solving orientation, good listener;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Facilitation, training and presentation experience preferred;
• Excellent analytical skills;and
• Ability to travel to all countries where DAI implements its projects.
