Are you interested in taking part in international development projects that relate to climate change? The Finnish Consulting Group (FCG) is currently looking for climate change experts for possible future collaborations in our projects.
About the experts
We are looking for experts that fulfill the following criteria:
· Academic education: at least a Master’s degree
· Language skills: very good English skills (additional language skills are an advantage)
· General experience: relevant experience in international development cooperation, at least 10 years (having taken part in internationally funded projects as team leader or subject matter specialist)
· Specific experience in these sectors:
o Climate change adaptation and mitigation:
o Land use (forestry, agriculture and land use change)
o Water management, sanitation and hygiene
o Water resource resiliency and infrastructure development
o Watershed management and water conservation
o Aquatic ecosystems and Blue economy
o Energy efficiency, renewable energy, energy storage
o Food security and productivity
o Climate-resilient infrastructure Climate change related tools for e.g.:
o Carbon accounting and offset standards, GHG emissions, Carbon footprint
o REDD, CDM or similar
o Disaster risk reduction and resilience
o Ecosystem services and habitat restoration, Payment for environmental services
o Carbon capture, sinks and carbon storage
o Soil carbon, side streams and nutrient cycling
o EU taxonomy, SFDR, NFRD & fit for 55
o Carbon finance and market-based solutions
o Climate finance
o Climate justice
o Climate modeling
o Circular Economy
o Environmental policies
o Environmental safeguards
o Natura 2000 – biodiversity
o Agroecology
o EU accession and climate change
o expertise in SIDSs, Polar regions, and other climate hot spots
