Call for Consultants - Technical Assistance for Kadir Has University Creative Industries Platform – KHAS-YEP

Job Description

We are looking for qualified independent consultants/non key-experts to support the delivery of the EU funded project “Technical Assistance for Kadir Has University Creative Industries Platform” – KHAS-YEP”. This EU-funded project is managed by the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology and implemented by a consortium led by the British Council, UK in partnership with Screen Yorkshire, UK and Atölye, Türkiye. The project commenced on 28 December 2022 and will last for 24 months. The purpose of the project is to establish a creative industries platform within the Kadir Has University in Istanbul which will be a centre for innovation for screen industry (film and all interrelated sectors) in Türkiye and to support the freelancers and SMEs acting in the sector in order to increase their competitiveness through this platform.

Applications are open to Junior consultants, regardless of their nationality, with professional experience in one or several of the following areas of expertise:

  • PR and Communications
  • Event management (Festivals, Opening and Closing Events)
  • Capacity building in the screen industry sector
  • Audience outreach and development
  • Entrepreneurial skills development
  • Marketing
  • Online content development
  • Graphic-design
  • User interfaces and user experience design (UI/UX)
  • IT Systems management
  • Software Development related to the film industry
  • Organizational Development
  • Leadership Development
  • Over the top (OTT) streaming media design and management
  • Business Plan development
  • Market and pricing studies
  • Intellectual property rights management
  • Legal and financial services
  • Screen industry service manuals development and implementation
  • Organisation of international study visits, fair visits, demo days etc.
  • Promotion and visibility Activities
  • Website Design
  • Social Media Management
  • Technical and non-technical training for screen industry, including training of trainers
  • Project and SME Incubation, coaching and mentorship

General Requirements

Non-key experts should be professionals with sectorial specialization in respective domains of expertise. It is expected that the Junior Non-key experts (either local or international) will comply with the following minimum requirements:

Junior Non-key Expert

  • Bachelor’ s or higher degree relevant to the assignment
  • Minimum 3 years of general professional experience
  • Minimum 2 years of specific professional experience relevant to the assignment
  • Very good command of English (speaking, reading and writing)
  • Place of performance/base of operation: Istanbul, Türkiye. Up to 15% home based work is possible upon prior approval of the Contracting Authority.
