Job Description

Deloitte is recruiting for multiple positions for an upcoming USAID-funded macroeconomic reform activity in Egypt.

The roles are expected to be based in Cairo, Egypt. Remote roles with regualr travel to Cairo may be considered.

Job Description

These roles will play a crucial role in the successful implementation of an upcoming USAID-funded macroeconomic reform activity in Egypt. The activity aims at addressing macroeconomic issues in Egypt, building more resilience in Egypt’s macroeconomic framework, and could include areas such as public finance, debt management, climate change financing, monetary policy, or attracting foreign investment. Climate change is an evolving priority for the Government of Egypt and USAID, and therefore the activity will consider it as a cross-cutting theme during implementation. The incumbent should possess direct and relevant professional experience in one or more of the areas below, prior experience working on USAID-funded programs or projects, and proven consulting skills.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, Law, Public Administration, Business Administration, or similar field
  • Experience working in programs of a similar scope and complexity, on topics such as budget formulation and execution, debt management, tax policy, and sustainable budgeting
  • Experience working on USAID, DFID, EU, GIZ, World Bank, ADB or other donor-funded programs.
  • Experience working in Egypt, the Middle East, or North Africa
  • Excellent English writing and speaking skills. Fluent in Egyptian Arabic or Modern Standard Arabic.
  • Skilled problem-solver who can address multifaceted challenges in an organization’s operations; they utilize a combination of data analysis, critical thinking, and creativity to develop innovative solutions that optimize processes and overcome obstacles.
  • Understands and prioritizes clients’ needs, an experienced relationship builder. Actively listens to their concerns, providing tailored solutions that align with their business objectives. Maintains a client-focused approach to build trust and long-term partnerships.
  • Works collaboratively with others, building, and maintaining productive relationships, and promoting a cooperative work environment.
