Call for Technical Experts - USAID/Sri Lanka Economic Modernization Activity

This Proposal Opportunity:

Palladium seeks highly motivated and experienced individuals for the anticipated USAID/Sri Lanka Economic Modernization activity. This 5-year will aim to increase the economic competitiveness of Sri Lanka by providing technical assistance and support services to support Government of Sri Lanka, small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and other stakeholders to improve the business enabling environment, the performance of small and medium businesses, and SME integration in regional and global supply chains.

Palladium is seeking USAID professionals for positions related to technical implementation, with experience in the following areas:

  • Trade facilitation
  • Trade and investment promotion, including market identification and linkages
  • Economic and social inclusion of women, youth and other marginalized communities
  • SME competitiveness
  • Agriculture value chain development and market systems
  • Access to finance, including for SMEs and agriculture-sector firms
  • Strategic Communications

Sri Lankan nationals are highly encouraged to apply. Sri Lankan work authorization required.

Key Competencies Required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study such as business or economics required, Master’s degree in relevant field preferred.
  • At least seven years’ relevant experience, 10 years’ experience for senior positions; Prior experience in the implementation of similar sized USAID or other donor- supported programs in Sri Lanka highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to develop and communicate a common vision among diverse partners and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Evidence of strong communication skills, both interpersonal and written, to fulfil the diverse technical and managerial requirements of the contract.
  • Fluency in English required and either Sinhala or Tamil required
