Call for Urban Water Management Specialists in Southern Africa

Job Description

Deloitte supports public sector stakeholders to protect and restore water systems. Deloitte is currently assessing donor-funded urban water management related opportunities in Southern Africa and is looking for interested, qualified specialists. Applicants should be mid- to senior-level experts with experience in one or more of the following technical areas:

· Urban Water Management

· Municipal Water Systems

· Water Sanitation

· Solid Waste Recovery

· Data Management and Visualization

· Climate Resilience

General Qualifications and Expectation Sought Across Technical Positions:

• Degree in international development, engineering, urban planning, environmental management, or another relevant field. Advanced degree preferred; relevant experience accepted in lieu of advanced degree
• 10+ years of exceptional experience working in the water sector, urban or municipal water management, Southern Africa sector systems and governance, or water supply and sanitation services
• Demonstrates a record of successful performance in at least one of the technical areas listed above
• Experience leading or working as a USAID or other donor-funded teams is a plus
• Additionally, experience working in Southern Africa is highly encouraged
• Proficiency in English is required, proficiency in other languages spoken across Southern Africa is desirable
