The Cambodia Agricultural Value Chain Program (CAVAC) is a large agricultural development program funded by the Australian Government through AusAID. It focuses on ensuring accelerated growth in the value of agricultural production and smallholder income in the rice based farming systems of targeted provinces through agribusiness development, water management, research and extension and improving the business enabling environment. The Program will be based in Phnom Penh with provincial offices located in Takeo, Kampong Thom and Kampot. Agribusiness Development Manager
The Agribusiness Manager will be responsible for implementing the Agribusiness Development component of CAVAC. He or she will develop detailed implementation strategies and lead teams to implement a variety of interventions. Extensive experience in agricultural development and implementing market development programs will be essential for this position.
Irrigation / Water Management Manager
The Irrigation / Water Management Manager will be responsible for the implementation of the Water Management component of CAVAC. Working with Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, its provincial departments and a team of Cambodian specialists, he or she will develop methodologies for improving the management of water on both irrigated and rain fed farms to significantly improve productivity in the target provinces.
