Job Description

Here at Human Appeal we have an exciting opportunity for a Campaigns Assistant to join our team based in Cheadle, Greater Manchester (although the role will initially be home-based during Covid-19 restrictions). You will join us on a full-time basis as part of an initial 1-year fixed term contract with a view to progressing into a permanent role. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £19-22k per annum.

Human Appeal is a faith-based charity that aims to abolish poverty by providing humanitarian aid, sustainable development programs and championing advocacy for our beneficiaries worldwide.

As a Campaigns Assistant, the successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting the Campaigns and Project Manager in delivering high quality campaigns which result in increased awareness, understanding, donations, engagement and retention with Human Appeal among our key target audiences and stakeholders.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Campaigns Assistant:

  • Work within given campaign time frames and ensure work is delivered in a timely manner, including the delivery of campaign briefs at least one-month pre-campaign launch date
  • Work with internal stakeholders and Islam Channel to ensure Human Appeal’s TV appeals are delivered on time adhering to Islam Channel’s production timelines
  • Ensure you proof read at least x3 creatives / content types per day on Asana

What we’re looking for in our Campaigns Assistant:

  • Degree-educated in a relevant field, e.g. Communications, Marketing
  • At least 1 years’ experience in a similar role within a campaigning, marketing or communications remit
  • Experience of gathering information and using insight to improve plans or processes
  • Proven experience in communicating with customers or supporters and managing relationships
  • MS Office Suite
  • Fluent English is essential
