The Global Green Growth Institute internship program (also called “Grow Green” Program) provides a unique learning opportunity for students and recent graduates from diverse academic backgrounds. The program is designed for talented and motivated individuals skilled in areas relevant to GGGI’s operations. The program allows selected candidates to gain insight into the work of the Institute and provides assistance and training in various professional fields in a multicultural environment. CURRENT OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a talented and motivated individual with deep interest on mitigation and markets to work with us in the Carbon Pricing Unit (CPU) in Seoul to support the development and management of technical information and knowledge-sharing materials for GGGI’s new Carbon Transaction Facility (CTF). This may include work with the new CTF or current earmarked projects that form part of it. The scope of activities to be undertaken includes:

  • Developing capacity-building materials related to Article 6 of the Paris Agreement
  • Supporting the CPU to create training and explanatory materials for country teams for CTF implementation
  • Supporting the development of knowledge products for the CTF, including information for evaluating new projects and supporting teams to implement new projects (formats, budgets, report forms, etc.)
  • Researching relevant information, including news and releases of technical inputs from the UNFCCC and other relevant institutions related to the CTF and preparing brief notes and summary documents of technical information
  • Analyzing documents from consultancies that can support CTF operations
  • Coordinating meeting schedules with internal and external stakeholders
  • Attending relevant meetings, drafting minutes, and ensuring timely clearance and distribution among CPU team members
  • Organizing, version controlling & archiving documents in a systematic manner
  • Others relevant to the Carbon Transaction Facility and the CPU Unit
ELIGIBILITY

Applicants to the GGGI internship program must at the time of application meet the following requirements:

  • Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s (final year), Master’s or PhD program prior to internship assignment, or a recent graduate within the last 12 months.
  • Be engaged or recently engaged in academic study in a field directly related to the Institute’s work.
  • Possess an excellent command of English.

  • GGGI evaluates applications based on: eligibility requirements, relevance of academic study and work experience (if any); and the level of interest and motivation to contribute to development work.
