Job Description

Chemonics seeks a cash management associate to join our Treasury Department. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage daily cash applications of payments
  • Review and process expense reports, travel, and per diem transactions in accordance with USAID, FAR, and Chemonics regulations
  • Process general accounts payable and general ledger transactions
  • Set up new project and new contract budgets
  • Obtain documentation and approval for all transactions processed
  • Review and log transactions requiring payment
  • Assist with issuing checks of payment for processed transactions, log payments, and distribute and/or mail checks to appropriate individuals and vendors
  • Prepare and submit deposits, ACH, wire transfers, and foreign draft requests to the bank
  • Code and input transactions in the Solomon system

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum one year of experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
  • Experience with government contracting; knowledge of per diem regulations highly preferred
  • Experience with accounting software, preferably Solomon VI
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience living or working in developing countries preferred
  • Permanent U.S. employment authorization required
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
