Role purpose

Our team of coordinators encourage engagement, by building empathy for our global neighbours, sharing knowledge of our work, and information on how supporters can be involved.

Key outcomes

• Increase supporters’ passion for Christian Aid’s work and increase their engagement
• Innovate and contribute to projects and new ideas that will increase our supporter base
• Creatively share advice and support to enable a variety of people to fundraise
• Enthuse people to increase their giving, acting and praying
• Positively manage complaints and feedback to maximise our great reputation
• Lead on specific projects related to our supporter information and relationships, providing training to colleagues

Applied skills/knowledge and expertise

Essential

• Knowledge of Christian church structure, function and audiences
• Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of teams and colleagues
• Experience of using supporter or customer database
• Ability to analyse and interpret information in order to achieve required outcomes
• Knowledge of global development issues and Christian Aid’s work
• Experience of customer care and the importance of building relationships
• Ability to influence verbally, inspiring and encouraging engagement with Christian Aid
• Experience and the confidence to engage supporters over the phone and discuss financial giving
• Ability to maintain focus in a busy environment retaining attention to detail
• Positive, professional and friendly verbal & written communication skills that reflect our values

Desirable

• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
• Experience of working with volunteers to maximise fundraising and engagement
• Knowledge of digital fundraising and marketing
• Experience of Dynamics 365/CRM
