Description
The Kaizen Company (Kaizen) seeks a Change Management Facilitator for the Organizational Management Assessment (OMA) project for USAID/ Nepal. The overall goal of this short term project is to define an organizational/ management structure to better support implementation of the new USAID/ Nepal Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS). The ideal structure would facilitate efficiency, effectiveness, and promote communication throughout the Mission. This assessment will build upon a recent organizational assessment of USAID/ Nepal to identify the most appropriate recommendations for a new management structure, work with USAID/ Nepal to redefine its administration and functional organizational charts and roles and responsibilities of staff, and providing training and technical assistance to initiate the organizational change management process.
Responsibilities
The Change Management Facilitator will be responsible for providing implementation support, aligning program deliverables and project activities with the local Nepalese context (i.e. gender, cultural considerations), and reflecting realities on the ground (i.e. incorporating perspectives of USAID programs in Nepal). The Facilitator will engage with local USAID/ Mission personnel and stakeholders to support information collection for the development of program deliverables, and will provide in change management facilitation, workshops, and technical assistance in support of the Change Management Plan Launch deliverable, which will be led by the Team Leader.
Requirements
- Masters degree in organizational management, international development, or related field
- In-depth knowledge of Nepali/ South Asia cultural contexts, and demonstrated ability to apply this understanding to donor projects
- Minimum of 10 years of experience working on (implementing, managing, leading) USAID programs in Nepal/ South Asia, or other donor-funded programs; past experience working in/ strong understanding of the USAID/ Nepal or other USAID Mission office preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience implementing organizational development/ change management/ strategic planning
- Demonstrated understanding of USAID Mission priorities in Nepal
- Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication skills
- Candidates of Nepali or South Asia citizenship preferred
- Fluency in English and Nepali highly preferred
