Job Description

Package: The compensation range for the position is in the $450,000 range and open to negotiation depending on the candidate’s experience and qualification

Our new CEO will be an innovative leader with proven operational experience who is passionate about our work. You will harness the capability of our global team and knowledge of small-scale farmers to better integrate our programmatic strategy and distribute decision-making in the interest of accelerating impact for farmers worldwide. You will build new and nurture existing partnerships in pursuit of sustainable, creative solutions to end hunger and poverty. You will bring a collaborative approach to change management and impact capture in pursuit of quality, values-aligned programs.

The ideal candidate will be expected to demonstrate senior leadership and transformation experience spanning the Global North and Global South, and an understanding of evolving and emerging trends in international development and nonprofit funding. You will be a culturally astute, inclusive leader and strategist, proven overseeing effective, impactful business plans within a global or regional nonprofit or business context. A credible influencer and partnership builder, you will show strong commitment to Heifer International’s mission, vision and approach. You will be comfortable with significant travel to Heifer International’s global programs and teams, and will ideally bring understanding of one or more of the following areas: agriculture, climate, impact investment, technology.
