Job Description

What You’ll Do

Lead all financial operations. Oversee financial planning, accounting, audit, tax, treasury, and fiscal management in alignment with Kiva’s strategic goals.

Drive strategic decision-making. Analyze and forecast financial assets (loans), loan capital, and assets under management to support long-term planning.

Own capital strategy. Shape and communicate financial forecasts, sustainability plans, and investor confidence strategies.

Ensure compliance and controls. Maintain a strong internal control environment and lead all audits, 990 filings, and regulatory reporting.

Oversee structured funds and affiliates. Guide off-balance sheet fund management to align with Kiva’s financial and social impact goals.

Enable data-driven leadership. Deliver operational insights and critical financial information to the Board, CEO, and senior stakeholders.

Build financial tools and systems. Enhance transparency and equip teams with the systems they need to track progress and manage budgets.

Lead the budgeting process. Direct annual budgeting and multi-year financial planning across departments and initiatives.

Mentor and grow the finance team. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the Finance function.

Partner across the organization. Collaborate with executive and senior leaders to ensure alignment between financial goals and Kiva’s mission.

You Might Be a Fit If You:

Have 10–15+ years of progressive experience in financial management, including FP&A, audit, tax, accounting, and treasury.

Bring hands-on expertise in forecasting and modeling financial assets, liabilities, and revenue streams.

Have held key leadership roles with team oversight and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Are comfortable managing complex fund structures and working with CDFIs, asset managers, fintechs, or similar entities.

Have experience in nonprofits, impact investing, or global organizations (a plus, but not required).

Possess sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, and a track record of improving financial systems.

Lead with integrity, transparency, and a deep sense of accountability.

Are energized by building systems, mentoring teams, and aligning finance with mission-driven growth.

Salary range: $285K - $320K; a final offer will be dependent upon a candidate’s location, skills and experience.
