Project Description
The Partners for Transparency Activity (PfT) supports locally driven solutions that increase transparency and accountability in Colombia. This activity strengthens citizen-responsive governance and increases citizen trust by leveraging targeted stakeholders’ expertise, engagement, and unique positions of influence to:
· Advance national-level government transparency and accountability initiatives;
· Promote local-level civic participation;
· Strengthen oversight-and-control institutions’ efforts to fight corruption;
· Nurture a culture of transparency and accountability; and
· Build local partner capacity and sustainability.
Role’s Purpose
The COP will be responsible for the technical leadership and in-country management of the program. S/he will effectively manage relationships with members of the Technical Committee to set program strategy, harmonize efforts of key partners, and leverage the strengths, communications platforms, and networks of each of these partners to intensify program impact. As COP, s/he will represent the program to USAID, CSOs, national and subnational government representatives, and local communities and groups. S/he will oversee the long-term staff and short-term experts in the successful completion of all program deliverables. S/he will undertake regular assessments of the broader political environment within which the program operates to ensure flexibility and rapid reprioritization of activities when necessary. This position will supervise all technical components, as well as directly supervising the M&E/CLA function. The COP is the individual accountable for program success, and s/he will be USAID’s single point of contact with the AOR in the field.
