Job Description

ABOUT THE POSITION
You will:

  • Work at least 250 hours as guided by the Sr. Advocate & Program Manager of Climate Displacement Program.
  • Work during ET hours either remotely or hybrid in the Washington DC office.
  • Starting May 27th and ending no later than August 29th, within the 9:00 am – 5:00 pm EST.
  • Earn a stipend of $4,000.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Your day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Engagement with UN Climate Change (UNFCCC) processes, including supporting: preparation for the UNFCCC Bonn Intercessional Meetings and COP30, organization of civil society and affected community consultations, drafting accessible explainer documents, and review of relevant UNFCCC documents.
  • Research and support of engagement of refugee communities in the development and implementation of National Adaptation Plans.
  • Research and writing of one or more short pieces on a relevant topic at the intersection of climate change, displacement, and labor market access of candidate’s choice in consultation with supervisor.
