Duties and Responsibilities
The Communications Expert will work with the client by offering targeted communications expertise and support. The Expert will lead the design and creation of the online Blended Finance Training for the client that will be uploaded on BHA University and possibility USAID university
The Communications Expert will bring strong experience and knowledge of communications specifically for online training and products, the overall usability of the training including web clarity of message content and overall web usability to support the BHA PSE team in producing a finalized Blended Finance online training course. The Communications Expert will work closely with the BHA Activity Lead, Blended Finance Expert, PSE Team Lead, Instructional Designer and Developer and USAID/BHA to assume the following duties and responsibilities as related to the BHA Buy-in:
Review and provide inputs on the themes and templates for the course in line with the USAID Graphic Standards Manual and the USAID Writing Style Guide.
Provide inputs and advice throughout the process on the overall usability of the training content and including web clarity of message content and overall web usability.
Ensure that content, user interface, and user experience on the platform and online course is appropriate to the needs, expectations, and knowledge of the user.
Recommend changes as appropriate to align the content and design of the training for the use needs, in this case the BHA staff.
Deliverables:
Participation in design meetings with the BHA staff, PSE Support team, and consultants supporting the online training course development
Written inputs for the Blended Finance online training course including inputs on design, assessments, knowledge checks, and case studies that will be incorporated throughout the course to foster a learning environment aligned with adult learning principles.
Qualifications:
10 to 12 years of digital media & communications experience in strategic digital development and outreach
Familiarity and experience with usability for online trainings, including ensuring content, interfaces, and user experience aligns with products
Excellent portfolio with a proven track record of successful project management examples
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
Experience in web design and content production
MA in public relations, communications or similar relevant field.

USAID’s Private Sector Engagement (PSE) Hub within the Bureau for Development, Democracy, and Innovation (DDI) supports the implementation of the Private Sector Engagement Policy. PSE Support provides technical and operational support to the USAID Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (USAID/BHA), including through convening the PSE Working Group and supporting the PSE Implementation Plan for the Bureau.
