Duties and Responsibilities Office Background:This internship is located in the Communications & Outreach Unit (COU) within the Project Management Office (PMO) of the United Nations Office of Information and Communications Technology (OICT).
OICT enables a better, safer, more sustainable future through innovative technology. The Office is responsible for defining strategic direction for ICT in the Secretariat. It provides oversight of ICT programmes, systems, applications and decision-making and is committed to ensuring colleagues all over the world have the necessary ICT tools to succeed in their respective mandates.
The Communications and Outreach team increases the visibility of OICTs work through strategic communications and consistent brand messaging, engaging the global ICT community, supporting UN-wide collaboration, and strengthening ICT partnerships. The team also delivers expert editorial and design support across OICT, and manages OICT internal and external websites, as well as social media platforms.
Office Duties:The intern will support the OICT Communications team in promoting the work of OICT and its personnel by assisting in the production of engaging multimedia content. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
