Job Description

Deloitte Consulting LLP, headquartered in Arlington, VA, is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates for a Communications Specialist to manage the anticipated multi-year USAID-funded Digital Strategy Implementation and Programs Activity (DSIPA) that will be based in Washington, D.C. This activity will serve to drive the implementation of the Digital Strategy across the Agency’s multiple technical and regional sectors.

The Communications Specialist will lead the activity’s communications strategy development and implementation. They will work across multiple medias to produce strategic documents, resources, and training resources for buy-in clients and partners.

The Communications Specialist will work closely with and report to the Director to provide oversight to the DISPA activity.

A specific scope of work will be defined based on further information from the client as well as the candidate’s background and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Produce knowledge products across a variety of media formats for USAID’s continuing education of internal and external audiences
  • Provide specialized capacity building and technical support
  • Produce activity and buy-in marketing materials (success stories, presentations, briefs)
  • Compile print-ready versions of weekly, quarterly, and annual reports based on activity and buy-in progress
  • Facilitate online and print dissemination of reports and key outcomes
  • Review activity communications to ensure quality control

Qualifications

  • At least ten (10) years of progressively responsible professional work experience in communications, preferably in the fields of development, technology, cybersecurity, and/or digitalization
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience with multimedia and graphic design, as well as exceptional writing and editing skills

Location

The primary place of performance for these activities will be in Washington, D.C., United States of America.
