Main Purpose
To provide information technology technical expertise to design, develop and administer e-leaning/on-line training courses for regulators on radiation safety and associated electronic platforms and learning material.
Functions / Key Results Expected
• Provide technical expertise to CRS in designing and implementing innovative solutions to enhance the electronic portals of the School of Drafting Regulations in the IAEA’s Moodle-based Learning Management System (LMS) and the SharePoint-based Global Nuclear Safety and Security Network.
• Provide training for staff and participants in the use of the eLearning material.
• Develop state-of-the-art e-learning material translating complex, technical topics into engaging and accessible online content through user interfaces, graphics, illustrations, animations, video, and/or simulations for e-learning courseware and technical workshops.
• Provide information technology advice to operate the information management systems used by the Division to assist regulatory bodies to implement IAEA safety standards on radiation safety.
Qualifications and Experience
University degree in science, engineering, management, or computer sciences.
Minimum of five years of experience in information technology, information management systems and user support.
Experience in designing and developing engaging, learner-centred eLearning courses utilizing Articulate Storyline and Rise, among other content authoring tools.
Experience working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), which is IAEA’s standard and in using graphic, audio and video editing tools.
Knowledge of Moodle (Learning Management System) or similar for operating electronic collaboration spaces is an asset.
Knowledge of IAEA’s information technology platforms and associated software is an asset for the position.
Fluency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) an asset.
