NOTICE OF VACANCY
KfW is a German Development Bank with a well-established presence in Mozambique. On behalf of the German Federal Government and other sponsors, KfW finances investments and accompanying advisory services in development and transition countries.
In 2014 the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy (MIREME) under the auspices of the Government of the Republic of Mozambique has introduced a Renewable Energy Feed-in Tariff (REFiT) Regulation to incentivize private investments in the Mozambican energy sector. Among other stakeholders, KfW has developed the Global Energy Transfer Feed in Tariff (GET FiT) Programme, which aims to fast-track the development of smaller renewable energy generation projects through a comprehensive set of tools, including tariff viability gap funding, targeted technical assistance, risk mitigation against off-taker risk, and renewable grid intervention support. MIREME has requested financial assistance from the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy of the Government of the United Kingdom (BEIS) which will be channeled through KfW to undertake a feasibility study, which will investigate legal, technical and financial viability and develop a programme concept, financing structure and technical assistance facility for Mozambique. Coordinator for the GET FiT Programme in Mozambique
The coordinator will be based in Maputo. The main purpose of the position is to facilitate communication between the Mozambican authorities and key stakeholders, and to coordinate all necessary activities in Mozambique to bring GET FiT Mozambique forward.
