Job Description

Your Objective

The Corporate Partnerships Associate contributes to the Corporate Partnerships Team by supporting the development and management of new and existing corporate partnerships. The Associate will assist the team in identifying and researching new funding opportunities; developing correspondence and program materials for existing and new partners; and managing a small stable of existing corporate partnerships.

Your Role

Prospect Research & Portfolio Management:

  • Identify, research and vet new business prospects with opportunities relevant to Plan
  • Support the development of prospect lists for Plan USA practice areas as well as for priority initiatives such as the Women’s Leadership Institute and Youth Leadership Academy
  • Manage a small portfolio of existing corporate partnerships
  • Develops briefings, presentations and customized collateral in collaboration with Corporate Partnerships Account Managers

Donor Correspondence:

  • Draft correspondence such as initial inquiries and acknowledgements, as assigned
  • Draft, edit and proofread concept notes, proposals, and donor reports
  • Tracks and monitors reporting deadlines of projects associated with accounts in the Associate’s portfolio

Business Processes and Administration:

  • Oversees the data management process for the team; ensures that account status updates, proposals, reports etc. are all updated in a timely manner

Key Competencies

  • Excellent writing, research, editing, and communications skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to think critically and analyze data
  • Prior work experience, ideally in fundraising, nonprofit, international, or related field
  • Interest or familiarity with one or more sector of international development programming is preferred
  • Competency in Microsoft Office 2010 and extensive familiarity with internet research / search engines
  • Motivated, mature, independent
  • Salesforce or other Donor software familiarity a plus

Education and Experience

  • Masters’ level graduate or student; Or a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree, with 1-2 years of international development experience
