The East Africa Region seeks candidates to lead one of PSI’s newest platforms beyond the entrepreneurial stage of development. With current revenue of $3.5 million, the platform was established in 2006 with the launch of a DFID-funded malaria prevention program. The team more recently launched a point-of-use water treatment product and is positioning itself for further expansion into Prevention of Postpartum Hemorrhage (PPH), as well as diarrhea care and treatment. The successful candidate will benefit from the excellent relationships and reputation already established with local and international stakeholders. The post is ideal for a talented, energetic manager with the desire and leadership skills to further strengthen and expand the platform.
The position is based in Hargeisa, Somaliland, a peaceful region with its own currency and seeking full independence from Somalia. It is a secure and pleasant region far from the de-stabilized parts of the East and South. It is welcoming to foreigners, with a thriving private sector. Reports to East Africa RD. To start January 2009.
