Country Team Lead

The Country Team Lead (CTL) will provide oversight to an individual country implementation of an HFA and follow-up quality improvement measures. The CTL should have a good understanding of the overall HFA process and be skilled in project management. It isn’t expected that the CTL have expertise in all specific areas of HFA implementation, but will bring in other team members to assist in the more technical aspects. The focus of the CTL will be to ensure the overall process stays on time and key aspects noted in Task 1 are completed to standard. The CTL will also serve as the main contact with the in-country counterparts, as well as Global Fund and other key stakeholders.

Qualifications of the Country Team Leader:

  • Master’s degree in public health/nutrition/international development
  • 5 or more years of experience in international public health work
  • Experience with health facility assessments or other similar large-scale surveys
  • Experience working with international teams and dealing in a culturally appropriate manner with a range of stakeholders, from high level government officials to community members.
  • Excellent analytical, writing and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills required; ability to produce high quality documents/reports in English and/or French
  • Fluency in French and/or English, as well as local language of the country if necessary.
