GH-TAMS is seeking qualified candidates for a Data Analyst position located in Washington, D.C. The final candidate will provide technical support and leadership to help the USG coordinate, track and communicate foreign assistance related to its COVID-19 response.
This position is initially programmed at six months in length.
Background
The Secretary of State has charged the Director of State’s Office of Foreign Assistance (F) with coordinating the distribution, reprogramming, and tracking of USG COVID-19 foreign assistance response funds provided to and within the inter-agency, including final review and approval for the use of these funds. To support this function, the State and USAID staff of F (which houses USAID’s Bureau for Foreign Assistance or FA) needs to track the funds in play and their allocation by region, country, agency, sector, and account, and to provide the necessary context within the foreign assistance effort to place the response effort in perspective for the White House, NSC, the inter-agency, and the general public. Within F, the Director has designated a Covid-19 Response Senior Advisor (a USAID employee) to work full-time in carrying out these functions – the Senior Advisor is FA/F’s liaison to the State and USAID Task Forces and keeps apprised of guidance and activities from OMB, the NSC, and the White House Task Force.
Objectives of Consultant Assignment
The State Office of Foreign Assistance (F)/USAID Bureau for Foreign Assistance (FA) is serving as a core component of USAID’s team to track, manage, and coordinate foreign assistance in response to the COVID 19 pandemic. Technical assistance is needed for FA/F to effectively carry out its role in coordinating and communicating the USG’s COVID-19 response. The consultant would provide technical support and leadership to help in FA/F’s coordination of assistance related to COVID-19.
