Project Summary:

The purpose of the USAID Global Health Supply Chain-Procurement Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) is to ensure uninterrupted supplies of health commodities to prevent suffering, save lives, and create a brighter future for families around the world. USAID has been providing supply chain management and commodity security technical assistance to the Government of Pakistan (GoP) since 2009 through the USAID-funded DELIVER project. From July 2016, this supply chain management technical support has been continued through GHSC-PSM. The project focuses on family planning (FP), Expanded Program of Immunization (EPI) and MCH commodity supply chains in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), with specific interventions in Baluchistan and Sindh.

Position Summary

MSI is recruiting for a short-term Data Analyst for performance monitoring of Global Health Supply Chain-Procurement Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project to work with the Assignment Manager and other local staff.

The team will monitor the GHSC-PSM that provides technical support to government of Pakistan in family planning (FP), Expanded Program of Immunization (EPI) and Maternal Child Health (MCH) commodity supply chains in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), with specific interventions in Baluchistan and Sindh.

The duration of the assignment is from January 2019 through April 2020. This position will be part-time until the end of the assignment with quarterly work load.

Responsibilities:

• Attend an orientation to understand the monitoring purpose and methodology, data collection instruments, data collection and analysis plan;
• Assist in re-drafting or updating data collection instruments, data collection plans and data analysis plan, as needed;
• Participate in meetings with implementing partners and USAID, as needed;
• Clean, organize, code, analyze and submit the data as per the established protocols and instructions of the assignment manager in SPSS and/or Excel format;
• Co-ordinate with the field researchers and keep track of their data collection activities;
• Participate in conducting spot-checks during data collection as needed;
• The data analyst will be also be responsible for primary data analyses and write descriptive parts contributing to report and briefs;
• Support assignment manager in reviewing and presenting report findings as needed;
• Undertake other tasks as assigned by the assignment manager for the successful completion of the assignment.

Qualifications:

• At least a Master’s degree in a related field;
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection, organization and analysis;
• Excellent MS Excel skills is required;
• Willingness and ability to travel within the country;
• Knowledge of Stata/SPSS or a statistical software package is necessary;
• Excellent analytical and personal communication skills;
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
