Duties and Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Data Support Officer, the Intern may be assigned matters such as:
Data Collection: Conduct data collection from Protection staff, programme offices, area offices and relevant units. Support data collectors to improve the data quality and accuracy and undertake quality assurance of collected data.
Technical Support: Support resolving and following up on technical issues raised by field teams and managing user profiles for various software packages.
Results-Based Monitoring System: Support timely and accurate data collection for indicators to meet Jordan Field Office reporting requirement.
Meeting Coordination: Assist in planning, coordinating and participating in meetings, including taking minutes when requested.
Any other related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications/special skills
Applicants must be students enrolled in or have recently completed (i.e. commencing the internship within one year of graduation date), either a graduate school programme (i.e. second university degree or equivalent degree, or higher) or the university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent).
The field of study should be Information Technology, such as Computer Information Systems, Data Science, Management Information Systems, or another related field.
Applicants are not required to have professional work experience, although prior work experience will be an advantage.
Excellent IT skills, especially MS Word, MS Excel and MS PPT are required.
Work rights in Jordan: The applicant should have the right to work and reside in Jordan.
Languages
Excellent command of spoken and written English.
