Are you a highly experienced business development professional with proven track record in winning new business and in leading on the production of proposals/tenders for research or consultancy services? Can you demonstrate a solid understanding and experience of the international development sector?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Business Development Manager (Deputy BDM) to join Social Development Direct (SDDirect). Joins us and you will be leading on development of tenders and responding to direct approaches for consultancy and research services from international clients across a range of thematic areas in the social development field. In this newly created position you will work closely with the Business Development Manager (BDM) and BD Director, as well as with members of our technical and commercial teams. We pride ourselves on developing high quality, tailored solutions for our clients. We therefore need candidates who bring experience of developing bespoke proposals as well as an understanding of our niche market and the needs and preferences of clients in our sector (including DFID, UN agencies and iNGOs). This position involves some travel within the UK and occasionally overseas for the purposes of meeting partners and clients, developing bids and interviewing prospective consultants.
We offer a competitive salary package depending on experience and 25 days holiday with increasing allowance by year.
