About the Organization
The Deputy Station Manager must have 7 years supervisory experience in air transportation functions and experience in all of the following areas:
- Aircraft load planning, to include: weight and balance computation, passenger / baggage and cargo handling.
- Sound knowledge of cabin loading, handling / loading of hazardous materials and aircraft palletisation.
- Knowledge on apron handling related matters to include apron safety, equipment movement and general administration of apron activities.
- Passenger services operations to include processing, security, boarding, and baggage handling and vehicle operations.
- Experience in aircraft transient alert arrival/ departure procedures to include marshaling, blocking, grounding, safety procedures and use of related equipment / vehicles.
- Minimum of ten years of experience in Aviation Ground Handling Operations
- Valid certification in Dangerous Goods Acceptance (IATA).
- Excellent oral and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s License.
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).
- Maintain a strong discipline for Air Safety.
- Experience working in Africa will be an advantage.
