Program Background
Australia’s Overseas Development Assistance (ODA) to the Solomon Islands focuses on supporting sustainable development and fostering economic growth through targeted investment in key areas such as infrastructure, health, education, and governance. Our assistance aims to enhance the quality of life for Solomon Islanders, promote stability and resilience, and strengthen bilateral relations between Australia and the Solomon Islands. By collaborating closely with Solomon Island stakeholders and managing contractors, Australia seeks to address pressing development challenges, support the achievement of national development goals, and contribute to the broader regional stability and prosperity.
The Role
Working directly to the AHC First Secretary, Development, Finance and Operations, the adviser will play a critical role in ensuring effective oversight of a diverse portfolio of development investments, fostering strong stakeholder relationships, and supporting the strategic implementation of Australia’s Development Partnership Plan (DPP) with the Solomon Islands.
