Job description

The Programme “Reform of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Vietnam” is commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in cooperation with the Vietnamese Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET) under the Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA). The Programme aims to better align TVET to the changing world of work which will be increasingly digital and green. The fields of activity include supporting the local partner organization in the Digital Transformation. One of the supported TVET institutes is the LILAMA 2 International Technology College in Dong Nai Province - a part of the programme in the modernisation of the training courses in “Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics, Metal Cutting and Construction Mechanics”.

Your tasks
  • Support TVET institutes in developing strategies and operational plans for digital transformation
  • Advise on the development of e-learning systems, digital platforms, cloud services, digital teaching and learning materials, and other modern learning and teaching methods
  • Provide multipliers at TVET institutes with further training courses in digital literacy and e-pedagogy from basic to advanced levels
  • Assist TVET institutes in strengthening their cooperation in TVET 4.0 with the business sector and integrating the requirements of Industry 4.0 into training programmes
  • Support PR and communications staff in TVET institutes in the development and application of easily accessible digital information channels
  • Advise on digital entrepreneurship and start-ups
  • Advise the partners on digital transformation of legal frameworks
  • Advise the partners on software and hardware structures
Your profile
  • University degree or professional qualification related to IT and education
  • Experience in the field of digital transformation and in the education sector
  • Very good knowledge of information and communication technologies, e-Learning systems, and platforms such as Moodle, BBB, Atingi
  • Strong communication, presentation, and moderation skills
  • Ability to convey specialized topics and methods and to work participatively with the relevant stakeholders
  • Networking skills, teamwork, structured working style with a high degree of self-organization, flexibility, and creativity
  • Experience in working/living abroad, ideally in Asia and have Intercultural Communication skills
  • Experience in the cross-cutting issues of gender and inclusion of people with disabilities
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Vietnamese and German is an advantage
Location information
