Position Summary:

The Asia Foundation’s Global Information Services unit seeks a dynamic and accomplished Global Information Sytems Digital Community Manager (Digital Community Manager). Reporting to the Senior Solutions Manager and working closely with the Solutions team and the Infrastructure team, you will be the department lead on training and developing resource materials for Microsoft 365, as well as the head administrator for SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Technology Curriculum Development: Develop and maintain a comprehensive curriculum to educate Foundation staff on productivity software, primarily focusing on the Microsoft 365 suite and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Training Delivery: Design and deliver engaging training programs through various mediums (in-person, webinars, videos, Teams, emails) to ensure staff comprehension and track measurable learning outcomes.
  • Technical Administration: Oversee the technical administration of SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams, ensuring effective and exclusive use of productivity software.
  • User Engagement: Manage a group of advanced Microsoft 365 users, serving as extensions of the Global Information Services team to enhance enterprise software utilization across Asia and the U.S.
  • Workshops: Organize periodic internal in-person workshops in Asia for advanced Microsoft 365 users, facilitating knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Stay Current: Stay updated on the latest features and system changes from Microsoft, industry standards, and best practices, integrating new technologies into the Foundation’s framework.
  • Strategic Input: Provide strategic input on technology decisions, including adopting new technologies.
  • Help Desk Support: Respond promptly and professionally to service requests and inquiries received through the Foundation’s global help desk ticket system.
  • Intranet Management: Maintain and update high-profile SharePoint pages on the Foundation’s intranet.
  • Team Mentorship: Provide mentorship to build team knowledge and support, ensuring coverage when needed.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Offer occasional support to adjacent technology sub-units such as Solutions, Infrastructure, and Business Information Systems.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal partners to develop new technology standards as necessary to meet evolving needs.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: Provide support to the Foundation in other capacities as assigned.

Experience required:

  • 5+ years experience leading professional training or otherwise serving in an educational role for adult learners.
  • 2+ years experience as an administrator for Microsoft 365, primarily working with SharePoint and OneDrive.
  • Strong knowledge of Information Technology and digital trends.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including oral and written English mastery.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
  • Analytical skills to track and report on community engagement metrics.
  • Strong content creation and curation abilities.
  • Customer-centric approach to address user concerns and inquiries.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience applying technology to the specific needs of nonprofit organizations.
  • Experience working with diverse, international colleagues where English is a Second Language.
  • Experience living in Asia.

They enjoy interacting with others and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues across different departments and enjoy teamwork.

They excel in creating and maintaining accurate documentation, crafting clear and concise “how to” guides, and comprehensive training materials. Lastly, they are comfortable with a flexible work schedule, as the position may involve non-traditional working hours to accommodate the diverse time zones of Foundation staff.
