Duties and Responsibilities
The UN Country Team (UNCT) in North Macedonia is supporting national stakeholders to accelerate digital transformation, promote innovation, and strengthen private sector contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As part of this effort, the UN is organizing the 2026 Private Sector Sustainability Forum and several digitalization focused initiatives with Government, academia, chambers of commerce, and businesses.
The intern will work under the supervision of the Data Officer and the Economist, and in close coordination with UNCT members and private sector partners.

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required. Relevant fields include: technologies, engineering, economics, business administration, computer sciences, ICT, public policy, environmental studies, social sciences, engineering, communications, or related disciplines.
Evidence on research or work experience (volunteering included) related to this TOR topics is very much welcomed.
Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. Programme.
