Job Description

Deloitte Consulting LLP, headquartered in Arlington, VA, is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates for a Director to manage the anticipated multi-year USAID-funded Digital Strategy Implementation and Programs Activity (DSIPA) that will be based in Washington, D.C. This activity will serve to drive the implementation of the Digital Strategy across the Agency’s multiple technical and regional sectors.

The Director will provide overall leadership and management oversight for the activity and will serve as the principal contact point for USAID and Deloitte.

A specific scope of work will be defined based on further information from the client as well as the candidate’s background and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Deloitte and liaise directly with the activity COR on all technical issues
  • Engage and build relationships with USAID staff across all activity sectors (tech, cybersecurity, digitalization)
  • Support USAID’s efforts to identify and advance advocacy efforts, collaboration, and partnerships across the interagency, technology and cybersecurity firms, academia, and partner country stakeholders
  • Oversee activity work planning, performance management, budgeting, financial management, compliance, and strategic communications
  • Provide leadership for implementation of all objectives and tasks ensuring schedules, scopes, and quality deliverables are achieved
  • Manage and supervise the work of all personnel, consultants, teaming partners, subcontractors and grantees

Qualifications

  • At least fifteen (15) years of progressively responsible professional work experience managing and leading USAID activities
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience building and managing dynamic, flexible teams
  • Experience managing contracts and buy-ins
  • Experience building relationships and engaging across multiple technical sectors, including technology, cybersecurity, and/or digitalization
  • Experience with activities that require collaboration with local governments in developing economies

Location:

The primary place of performance for these activities will be in Washington, D.C., United States of America.
