The Director General will develop and lead the implementation of the Foundation’s global fundraising strategies. This will increase the financial support available to develop World Scouting, diversifying its funding portfolio and facilitating meaningful partnerships. The Director General also leads the ongoing strategic development of the Foundation as it seeks to showcase the high social impact of its financial support to WOSM. The Director General will lead on maintaining and strengthening the Foundation’s network of partnerships with high net-worth donors, corporations, governments, international agencies and other foundations around the world.
The Director General is accountable to the WSF Board and reports to the Board’s Chairperson. The Director General leads a team based in Geneva and works closely with the WOSM Secretary General and the World Scout Bureau (WSB) in identifying, qualifying, converting and supporting funding opportunities. The WSB is the secretariat of the WOSM with a Global Support Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and a network of Regional Support Centres covering six regions.
This is a full-time position. Contract terms and conditions will be negotiated.
The WSF office is located in Geneva and the Director General will ideally be based in Europe.

Founded in 1969 the World Scout Foundation (WSF) is an international, non-profit organization based in Geneva, Switzerland. Its mission is to contribute to the development of World Scouting (est.1907) by providing financial and other support to the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). WOSM is a federation of 171 National Scout Organizations serving over 54 million young people worldwide through a local grassroots network of around 1.5 million local community Scout groups. Scouting has an alumni base of over 500 million.
The WSF is governed by a board of committed leaders and philanthropists. The King of Sweden, His Majesty Carl XVI Gustaf, serves as the Foundation’s Honorary Chairman.
The WSF invests in World Scouting through managing and growing an endowment through a progressive fellowship scheme of donations and fund-raising projects.
