This is an exciting opportunity to lead Verifone’s global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts; helping drive the CSR strategy of one of the world’s leading innovative electronic payment transactions and value-added services companies. In this position, you’ll develop, promote and communicate Verifone’s CSR programs. You will grow the initiative into a global program that supports employee engagement and strengthens the employee value proposition. Ensures that the program enhances the company’s overall company reputation while bridging community and business goals to drive impact and gain external visibility.
Your goal is to develop a highly recognized global CSR program which incorporates widespread support of financial literacy, efforts to promote equality for women, reduce our corporate waste footprint, and innovations to positively impact the world while improving the quality of life of our global workforce and their families as well as of the local community and society at large.
As the leader of Verifone’s CSR efforts, you’ll be responsible for helping the company fulfill its CSR vision of improving the financial lives of individuals, businesses and communities that need it the most. In this role, you will identify opportunities for Verifone to build on prior successes as a leading force for long-term, meaningful social and environmental change.

As our new CSR leader you’ll serve as a player/coach who will drive significant CSR efforts cross-functionally while also establishing a framework for enabling leaders and employees across our worldwide operations to contribute to the advance of our social impact.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop Verifone’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program to ensure consistency and effectiveness globally. Ensure the CSR program is aligned with and supports the advancement of the global Verifone culture.
- Evaluate CSR initiatives against industry standards; analyze results and develop action plans to ensure Verifone has a best in class CSR program.
- Engage with external partners and stakeholders to identify emerging CSR trends and best practices, and integrating improvements.
- Develop, analyze and evaluate the impact, resource requirements and cost/benefit of new programs. Propose new programs and initiatives to key business leaders.
- Develop strategies and materials for the communication of CSR initiatives to all internal and external audiences, ensuring overall messaging consistency across business units and throughout corporate communications.
- Write and edit materials, and otherwise promote the CSR program and activities via the company intranet, corporate website, and our digital channels. Actively contribute to communicating the compelling company and employer brand messages.
- Plan and promote events to engage employees and raise awareness of CSR programs.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with global company peers engaged in companywide CSR initiatives.
- Ensure overall programming and messaging consistency across business units and throughout corporate communications while accommodating unique programs and communications that are locally resonant and appropriate.
- Partner with internal departments to enhance and expand programs, metrics, and communications.
- Manage volunteers, community partners and interns when applicable. Manage external vendors as necessary.
- Assist in the development and recommendation of the CSR budget.
Knowledge and Experience
- A Bachelor degree is required; a Masters or MBA is a plus, with experience in project management, process improvement and data analytics / systems
- Experience leading teams in the high-technology industry
- Proven experience in driving growth and awareness of CSR programs
- Experience in and having established relationships in the social or environmental sector a plus
