CARE is seeking a Director of Strategy Implementation to help us deliver against an ambitious and innovative strategy. The Director of Strategy Implementation will be responsible for leading our road mapping and annual planning processes will design and create tracking systems (i.e. organizational dashboards, quarterly performance reporting) to present to the Global Management Team and the Board, and will lead change communications that empower our teams to transform. Collaborating with the CEO and the Chief of Staff, the person in this role will work to simplify our strategy so it is easily understood by key stakeholders as well as CARE employees. They will also stay on top of global trends and help us consider how we must rise to meet changing needs.

The Director of Strategy Implementation will attend Regional Leadership Team meetings to support thinking, and facilitate capacity building as needed to bolster strategic planning across departments, countries, and regions. The person in this role will also be responsible for tracking and management of the process ensure all applicable processes are communicated appropriately across the organization.

Responsibilities:

Leads development of the strategic plan/framework for organization

Stays on top of trends in international development, impact measurement, and donor engagement

Ensures appropriate metrics are in place to measure performance and progress towards strategic goals

Takes a leading role to ensure that appropriate data is used to influence decision-making, and that the data is of high-quality

Leads road mapping and planning

Builds professional board presentations and written reports on overall organizational performance

Designs performance management and progress tracking systems

Facilitates the execution of Strategy internally and externally

Skills:

Candidates with 2-4 years of management consulting experience encouraged to apply

Masters’ degree (MBA, MPP, MPA, or MA in International Development or equivalent), at least 7 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Experience presenting at Executive Management and Board level

Must possess the ability to use data effectively to improve programs, analyze results, and facilitate presentations to others

Strong conceptual problem solving and influencing skills

Demonstrated project management, change management and work planning skills

Proven ability to build relationships and influence others across all levels

Transformational change experience a plus

Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite, and specifically conducting analytics in Excel (e.g., formulas and pivot tables)
