DPK Consulting seeks an NGO Capacity Building Expert for an anticipated USAID Access to Justice project in Iraq. This will be a three year project and will address access to justice for Iraq's traditionally disadvantaged groups (women, juveniles, ethnic and religious minorities). The program will also involve legal assistance to and advocacy for disadvantaged groups, as well as components to strengthen Iraq's law school(s) and the bar association.
The NGO Capacity Building Expert will advise the Chief of Party and other technical program managers on effectively integrating NGO partners into their programs, plans, and project designs. They will be responsible for executing all subcontracts, grants, and procurement procedures to fully support all programming in the timely accomplishment of all deliverables. The NGO Capacity Building Expert will strengthen the capacity of local NGO partners, national staff, and other local NGOs and community based in the skills required to manage and administer an NGO, as well as how to implement effective assistance programs and projects. He/she will liaise with NGOs and help identify their technical assistance and support needs based on gaps in performance and work with NGOs to develop specific action plans/ strategic plans to address those gaps/needs.
