Job Description

Ginger SOFRECO, an international consulting firm, is seeking to hire a group of education specialists (retired/former teachers) with experience in teaching in secondary education in the Solomon Islands.

The education specialists will be responsible for supporting curriculum revision and the development of assessment items in a variety of subjects for senior secondary education, based on their teaching experience. The engagement for this assignment is part-time, and the period of engagement is expected to start in January 2025. This assignment can be carried out along with other professional commitments.

Required qualifications:
• A degree in Teaching or Education at Bachelor Level.
• At least 5 years of recent experience teaching in Secondary Education in the Solomon Islands. Must not be a currently active teacher.
• Daily access to a computer device and computer skills.
• Clear and unambiguous communication in English.• Willing to follow procedures, guidance, and requests provided by international consultants.

Previous experience in consulting projects preferred.
